Michelin designed the Pilot Super Sport with a unique dual compound technology that uses the properties of different rubber compounds between the inner and outer parts of the tread. The outside of the tire features a carbon black reinforced compound derived from Michelin’s 24 Le Mans testing, while the inside of the tire uses a compound blend of the latest generation synthetic rubber to provide exceptional grip on the wet.
